Google Calendar
How Superboard projects your dates into a calendar you choose, and how to connect, change, repair, or disconnect it.
One-way by design
Superboard is the source of truth for your dates. When you enable a date for Google Calendar, Superboard creates a managed event and keeps that same event updated when the date changes in Superboard.
- Changes in Google Calendar do not update Superboard.
- Superboard does not import unrelated Google events.
- Superboard does not modify events it did not create.
- Your Google account, destination, and calendar preferences are personal. Collaborators do not see them.
- Superboard never deletes a Google calendar.
Connect for the first time
Save a Work, Event, Due, or Target date, then choose Add to my Google Calendar. Your date is saved before Google setup begins, so canceling or closing Google cannot lose it.
After approving access, choose an explicit destination for the board:
- your Primary calendar;
- another calendar you own; or
- a new calendar named
Superboard — [Board name]by default.
One Google connection serves your account, while every board keeps its own destination. Multiple boards may use the same owned calendar.
Repair a calendar
Open Settings → App → Google Calendar. Account problems offer Reconnect or Switch Google account. Missing or inaccessible board destinations offer Repair calendar.
Repair rebuilds the affected board's events from Superboard, confirms the new copies, and then removes reachable old managed copies. If the old calendar cannot be reached, Superboard says so and leaves any possible old copy alone. Other boards and Google-only events are unaffected.
An individual Needs Review item means a managed event was deleted or a managed field changed in Google. Choose Restore from Superboard or Stop syncing event. These items never block replacing an inaccessible board destination.
Disconnect
Disconnecting applies to your Superboard account. Choose whether Superboard should remove reachable managed events or leave static copies. Calendars and unrelated Google events are never removed.
