Undo, Removed Items, and Recovery

Reverse supported actions, restore removed Cards, Lists, or Boards, and understand Superboard's current recovery limits.

Superboard provides several ways back, but not every change has the same recovery path. Use the control the product shows for the exact action or surface.

Undo a supported action

Use Cmd/Ctrl+Z or the visible Undo control immediately after a supported action. Superboard keeps a bounded recent Undo history, so Undo is not permanent version history.

Supported Undo depends on the action. Common Board changes and supported Ava actions can offer Undo; actions that have become unsafe to reverse may refuse rather than delete newer work.

If no Undo control is shown and Cmd/Ctrl+Z says there is nothing to undo, assume the action cannot be reversed through general Undo.

Restore a Card or List from Removed Items

Removing a Card or List sends it to Removed Items instead of immediately deleting it.

  1. Open Removed Items from the Board navigation or Settings.
  2. Find the Card or List.
  3. Choose Restore.

A restored Card returns to its original active List when that List still exists. If the original List is gone, Superboard uses an available active List and explains where the Card went. Restoring a List also restores the Cards removed with it when they remain recoverable.

Restore a removed Board

Removed Boards appear in Removed Items for their Owner. Choose Restore to make the Board active again.

This restores a Board that was removed. It does not roll an active Board back to an arbitrary earlier date.

Permanently deleting work

Permanent deletion is different from removal. Superboard asks for confirmation and explains that permanent deletion cannot be undone. Use it only when you are certain the work should no longer remain recoverable.

Preserved copies after save conflicts

When a local and cloud version cannot be reconciled safely, Superboard may preserve a recovery copy and surface it through Pulse or a recovery notice. Follow the exact control shown to inspect or recover that version. This mechanism protects against data loss; it is not general-purpose version history.

What is not available yet

Superboard does not yet offer a general customer control that returns any active Card or whole Board to an arbitrary point in time. Broader point-in-time history across Cards, Boards, and every artifact type is product direction.

For why this matters as AI and teams move faster, read Why serious work needs Undo, restore, and recovery. If a safe copy appears to be missing, contact Superboard Support before permanently deleting or recreating the affected work.
